Goonengerry’s stunning natural landscape has been carefully protected over the years, culminating in the establishment of the Goonengerry National Park in 1999. The park is a reflection of the local community’s strong commitment to conservation and deep respect for the area’s cultural and environmental heritage.
Spanning more than 500 hectares, Goonengerry National Park is the highlight of the region, with lush rainforests, flowing streams, and dramatic waterfalls. As part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia—a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site—the park is also a sanctuary for an incredible diversity of plant and animal life.
